SHA eClaims workflows in FlowMed
FlowMed includes SHA eClaims workflow features, built to DHA's eClaims specification. Your team works from the visit record, so claim preparation draws on what was documented.
- Check a member's SHA eligibility at the desk.
- Obtain the patient's authorization with an OTP before the visit is opened.
- Raise pre-authorizations for planned care.
- Code interventions against the SHA tariff and prepare the claim from the visit record.
Kenya HIE and Shared Health Record
FlowMed exchanges data using FHIR, and records the patient's national consent before a Shared Health Record encounter begins. DHA marked the Interoperability domain (Kenya HIE, FHIR, semantic) as Completed on the certification listing.
Pulse: clinical messaging and alerts
Pulse gives each patient encounter (an admission or an OPD visit) a care-team channel, an inbox of clinical alerts with acknowledgement and follow-up, and structured shift handover. Pulse is a FlowMed feature and an optional add-on for your facility. It is not an item on the DHA certificate.
Offline-capable, with access control and audit built in
Offline capability, role-based access and an audit trail are part of the product.
FlowMed is a progressive web app with an encrypted offline queue, so entries made during an outage are kept on the device and synced when you reconnect.
Role-based access
Access is controlled by staff role, so a nurse and a finance officer see different things.
Audit trail
Changes are written to an audit log, and access to patient records is logged separately.
Facility data separation
Facility data is scoped per facility.
Encrypted fields and offline store
Sensitive fields such as national ID are stored encrypted, and the offline queue on a device is encrypted.
From registration to go-live in four steps
1. Register your facility
Create your facility on OnLocum to begin your FlowMed setup.
2. Configure
Work through the onboarding wizard: facility profile, facility template (departments and wards), insurers and payers, staff and roles, SHA eClaims staff, data import, then an optional go-live check.
3. Invite your team
Add staff with role-based access. Sign in through OnLocum or directly at FlowMed.
4. Go live
Train staff and cut over on your go-live day, with a local county champion on site. The optional go-live check shows what still needs setup.
One annual platform fee, plus a charge per billed visit
Your annual platform fee is set by your facility level, usage is capped every month so you can budget, and verified OnLocum staff are built in. Health workers join free.
